Background for transparent areas

JPEG has no transparency, so transparent pixels are filled with this color.

How to use

Add images by dropping them, choosing them, or pasting from the clipboard. JPEG, PNG, WebP and HEIC files are accepted, and you can mix them in one batch.

Choose the target format. JPG is the most compatible, PNG keeps every pixel and supports transparency, and WebP is usually smaller than both.

For JPG and WebP, set the quality. When converting to JPG, pick the background color that fills transparent areas.

Each file converts as soon as it is added. Download files one at a time or use Download all. If you change a setting later, press Apply new settings to convert again.

FAQ

Are my images uploaded?

No. Conversion runs inside your browser with the canvas API, and the files never leave your device.

Why is the PNG so much larger than my JPG?

PNG stores every pixel without loss, while JPG discards detail that is hard to see. A photo saved as PNG is often several times larger. PNG suits screenshots, graphics and images that need transparency.

What happens to transparency when converting to JPG?

JPG cannot store transparency, so transparent pixels are filled with the background color you pick. White is the default. PNG and WebP keep transparency.

Is EXIF metadata kept?

No. Converted files do not include EXIF metadata such as camera model, date taken or GPS location. Photos are turned upright before saving, so they display the right way.

Can I convert to WebP on iPhone?

Only if the browser can save WebP. Some browsers, including some versions of Safari, cannot. The tool detects this and shows an error for that file instead of saving the wrong format. JPG and PNG work in every current browser.
