HEIC to JPG
Turn iPhone HEIC photos into JPG files that open everywhere.
Drop HEIC or HEIF photos here
iPhone photos in HEIC format. Add as many as you like.
Files stay on this device. Nothing is uploaded.
90 keeps photos close to the original. Lower values make smaller files.
Browsers that cannot open HEIC on their own load a converter from this site with the first photo. It runs on your device, and your photos are not uploaded.
How to use
Drop HEIC or HEIF files on the box or choose them with the button. On a computer, these are usually photos copied from an iPhone or iPad.
Set the quality. 90 keeps the photo very close to the original, and lower values give smaller files.
Each photo converts as soon as it is added. Download them one by one or press Download all.
Browsers other than Safari cannot open HEIC on their own, so the first photo loads a converter from this site. The converter runs on your device, and your photos are not uploaded.
FAQ
Are my photos uploaded?
No. The HEIC decoder is part of this page and runs inside your browser. Your photos are converted on your device and never sent anywhere.
Why is the JPG larger than the HEIC file?
HEIC compresses photos more efficiently than JPG, so the same photo needs more space as a JPG. Lower the quality for a smaller file.
Is the EXIF data kept?
No. The JPG has no EXIF metadata, so the date taken, camera details and GPS location are not included. Keep the HEIC original if you need that information.
How do I stop my iPhone from taking HEIC photos?
Open Settings, then Camera, then Formats, and choose Most Compatible. New photos are then saved as JPG. Photos you already took stay in HEIC.
What about Live Photos and burst photos?
Only the main still image is converted. The video part of a Live Photo and any extra images stored in the HEIF file are not included.
